Meeting
Jalaran Meeting turns a recording or transcript into a summary, the decisions taken and checkable action items, transcribing audio on your own hardware.
Who Meeting is for
For anyone who takes notes in meetings and therefore participates in them badly. Also for anyone whose employer will not permit a recording to leave the building, which rules out essentially every commercial meeting-notes product.
What Meeting does
Meeting transcribes audio locally — the recording is not uploaded to a transcription service — then extracts a summary, the decisions actually taken, and action items you can tick off. Segments the transcription model was unsure about are flagged rather than presented smoothly alongside confident ones, because a confidently wrong transcript is how a meeting record becomes actively misleading. There is a review gate before notes are trusted, and action items push one-way into Tasks.
- Local audio transcription — the recording never leaves your machine
- Summary, decisions and action items extracted separately
- Low-confidence segments flagged before you trust the notes
- One-way push of action items into Tasks
How Meeting works
Supply audio or a transcript
Audio is transcribed locally on your own hardware. A pasted transcript works too.
Review the flagged segments
Passages the model was unsure about are marked, so you check the parts most likely to be wrong.
Read the extraction
A summary, the decisions taken, and checkable action items — separated, because they are read by different people for different reasons.
Push actions into Tasks
One-way, deliberately: an action item becomes a task, and the task then belongs to your board.
What Meeting does not do
Transcription accuracy depends on your audio: crosstalk, heavy accents and poor microphones all degrade it, which is why uncertain segments are flagged rather than smoothed over. It does not join calls, record for you, or identify who said what — there is no live bot and no speaker diarisation. The Tasks push is deliberately one-way, so completing a task does not reach back into the meeting record.
Common questions
Does my recording get uploaded anywhere?
No. Transcription runs on your own hardware. That is the main reason to use it over a commercial meeting-notes service, particularly where a recording is not permitted to leave the organisation.
Why are some segments flagged?
Because the transcription model reports its own uncertainty, and a confidently wrong line in a meeting record is worse than a marked one. The flags point you at exactly the passages worth checking.
Can it join my video calls?
No. There is no meeting bot and no live recording. You supply the audio or the transcript afterwards.
