Review

Jalaran Review pulls your actual week — sessions, goals, decisions — out of the other modules so a weekly or monthly reflection is built on what happened rather than what you remember.

Who Review is for

For people who have tried weekly reviews and abandoned them, usually because staring at a blank template on a Friday afternoon is a bad prompt for honest reflection. Starting from the actual record removes that blank page.

What Review does

Review assembles the period from real data — focus sessions logged, goal progress recorded, decisions journalled — and reflects on top of that rather than asking you to recall a fortnight you have already half-forgotten. AI synthesises the period into observations you can accept or argue with. Streaks track the ritual itself, on the reasonable theory that the main threat to a weekly review is not doing it.

  • Real data pulled from Goal, Focus and Log
  • Weekly and monthly cadences
  • AI synthesis of the period
  • Streak tracking on the ritual itself

How Review works

  1. Pick the period

Weekly or monthly. Weekly is where the habit sticks; monthly is where patterns become visible.

  2. Read what actually happened

Focus sessions, goal progress and logged decisions, pulled from the modules that recorded them.

  3. Reflect against the record

Reflection sits on top of real data, which makes it much harder to tell yourself a comfortable story.

  4. Keep the streak

The ritual is tracked, because the failure mode of a weekly review is quietly stopping.

What Review does not do

Review reflects on data the other modules recorded, so with nothing logged there is little to review — it amplifies a habit rather than creating one. It has no visibility into work you did outside Jalaran. The AI synthesis observes patterns in your own records; it does not know your circumstances, so treat its conclusions as prompts to think rather than as findings.

Common questions

What if I have not logged anything?

Then there is little to review. It assembles what the other modules recorded, so it amplifies an existing tracking habit rather than substituting for one.

Which modules does it pull from?

Focus sessions, Goal progress and Log decisions, so the period is described by what you recorded at the time rather than by what you remember on Friday.

Weekly or monthly?

Weekly is where the habit forms and details are still recoverable. Monthly is where patterns become visible. Both cadences exist because they answer different questions.
