Who Goal is for

For people who set quarterly goals and rediscover them in week eleven. The check-in history is the part that matters — it makes the slow drift visible while there is still time to do something about it.

What Goal does

Goal holds objectives bounded to a quarter, each with key results that are actually measurable, and records every check-in rather than only the current value. That history is what distinguishes a goal tracker from a wish list: seeing that a key result has not moved in five weeks is information you cannot get from a progress bar. A numeric key result can sync its value directly from a linked Draft document’s word count, which removes the manual update from the one goal people most often abandon.

How Goal works

   Set quarterly objectives

   Bounded and time-boxed. An objective with no end date is an aspiration.

   Define measurable key results

   Numbers, not intentions. "Improve documentation" is not a key result; a page count is.

   Check in regularly

   Every check-in is kept, so the history shows drift rather than only the latest optimistic figure.

   Link a writing goal to Draft

   A word-count key result syncs straight from the linked document, so it cannot be quietly rounded up.

What Goal does not do

Goal tracks OKRs for one person — no team objectives, no cascading alignment, no shared visibility. Key results have to be measurable by you; the module cannot verify a number you type, except for the word-count sync where the source is real. It will not tell you whether your objectives are the right ones, and a quarter of diligently tracked progress toward the wrong goal is still a wasted quarter.
