Budget
Jalaran Budget tracks categorised monthly expenses against targets you set, showing each category as on track, at risk or over budget.
Who Budget is for
For anyone who wants to know where their money went without granting an application access to their bank account. Manual entry is slower and it is also the reason nothing about your finances leaves this machine.
What Budget does
Transactions are tagged to categories and rolled up against a monthly target per category, with a three-state status — on track, at risk, over budget — rather than a single overspent flag that only tells you once it is too late. Categorisation is AI-suggested and never automatic: you confirm every one, so the numbers remain yours rather than a model’s guess about what a merchant name meant. Everything is in rupiah natively and entry is manual by design.
- Categories with monthly targets
- On-track, at-risk and over-budget status
- AI-suggested categorisation you confirm
- Manual entry, rupiah native, no bank linking
How Budget works
Set categories and monthly targets
What you intend to spend where. The target is what makes the status meaningful.
Enter transactions
Manual entry, in rupiah. Slower than a bank feed, and nothing about your finances leaves the machine.
Confirm the suggested category
AI proposes; you confirm. An auto-categorised budget is a model’s guess wearing the authority of a number.
Read the three-state status
On track, at risk, over budget. At risk is the useful one, because it arrives while you can still act.
What Budget does not do
Budget has no bank connection, no automatic import and no receipt scanning, so every transaction is entered by hand — that is the privacy trade, and it is a real cost in effort. There is no rollover between months, no multi-currency support and no shared or household budgets. It tracks spending against targets and does not forecast, advise or plan.
Common questions
Why no bank linking?
Because bank linking means handing account access to a third party. Manual entry is more work and it means nothing about your finances leaves this machine — a deliberate trade rather than a missing feature.
Does it categorise transactions automatically?
It suggests and you confirm. Fully automatic categorisation produces a budget that is a model’s guess about merchant names, presented with the authority of a number.
Does unspent budget roll over?
No. Each month stands alone, and there is no rollover, multi-currency support or shared household budgeting.
