Who Edit is for

For non-native English writers producing formal work, and for native speakers whose first drafts are twice as long as they need to be. The diff matters most for the first group: seeing the change is how you stop making it.

What Edit does

Paste a passage and choose a mode. Grammar fixes spelling, punctuation and agreement while leaving your voice alone. Clarity cuts wordiness and untangles sentences that lost their way. Academic raises the register for a thesis or paper. Every mode shows the result beside your original with the changes marked, so you approve each one rather than accepting a wholesale rewrite — and so you actually learn from the correction instead of just receiving it.

How Edit works

What Edit does not do

Edit works on English. Indonesian writing is Bahasa, which is built for it rather than translated from an English tool. It is a proofreader and not a fact-checker or a citation checker — it will happily tidy the grammar of a false statement. Academic mode raises register and cannot make a weak argument strong. It works best on passages rather than whole chapters at once.

Common questions

Does it work on Indonesian text?

No — use Bahasa, which checks EYD and KBBI conventions properly. Edit is built for English, and a tool that pretends to do both usually does neither well.

Will it change my writing voice?

Grammar mode preserves it deliberately. Clarity and Academic change how the text reads by design, and the diff shows you exactly what changed so you can reject anything that stops sounding like you.
