Report
Jalaran Report assembles a structured thesis, weekly, consulting or research report by pulling live figures from your other modules, so the numbers in the document match the numbers in the product.
Who Report is for
For anyone who writes the same report periodically and spends most of that time copying numbers between tools. Transcription is where reporting errors come from, and it is entirely avoidable when the source data is already in the same workspace.
What Report does
Report reads real figures from the modules that hold them — goal progress, draft word counts, review reflections, focus sessions, statistical results, signal data — and assembles them into a structured document. Because the numbers are pulled rather than retyped, the report cannot quietly disagree with the product it describes, which is the failure mode of every hand-assembled status document. Four formats are supported, and export is DOCX or Markdown.
- Live data pulled from other modules
- Thesis, weekly, consulting and research formats
- Numbers that cannot drift from their source
- DOCX and Markdown export
How Report works
Pick the report type
Thesis, weekly, consulting or research. Each has a different structure and a different reader.
Choose your sources
Which modules feed the report — Goal, Draft, Review, Focus, Stats, Signal.
Let it pull live figures
Numbers come from the modules that hold them, so nothing is transcribed and nothing drifts.
Edit and export
DOCX or Markdown, ready for whoever has to read it.
What Report does not do
Report can only pull from Jalaran modules — it does not connect to external data sources, spreadsheets or business intelligence tools, so anything tracked elsewhere is pasted in by hand. It reports what the modules recorded, so gaps in your tracking become gaps in the report. Generated narrative needs editing before it goes to anyone who matters, and there is no scheduled or automatic delivery.
Common questions
Where does the data come from?
From your own Jalaran modules — Goal, Draft, Review, Focus, Stats and Signal. Because it is pulled rather than retyped, the report cannot disagree with the product it describes.
Can it pull from my spreadsheet or BI tool?
No. There is no external data connector. Anything tracked outside Jalaran has to be added manually.
Can it send the report automatically?
No. There is no scheduling or delivery. You export DOCX or Markdown and send it yourself, which also means nothing goes out unreviewed.
