Who Tutor is for

For self-directed learners without a teacher, and for anyone who has hit the wall where a subject stops being explainable by search results. It is designed to follow Review: Review surfaces the gap, Tutor closes it.

What Tutor does

Tutor has three modes because learning has three phases. Learn explains, Practice gives you problems with support, and Challenge removes the support to find out what actually stuck. Mastery is tracked per topic and difficulty adapts to your answers, so material you have understood stops consuming time and material you have not gets more of it. That adaptation is the thing a static course cannot do and a human tutor does automatically.

How Tutor works

1. 01

   Choose a topic

   Something specific. "Recursion" works; "computer science" does not.

2. 02

   Learn

   Explanation with the ability to ask follow-up questions, which is what separates this from reading.

3. 03

   Practice

   Problems with support available. Difficulty adjusts to how you are actually doing.

4. 04

   Challenge

   Support removed. This is where you find out what you understood rather than what you followed.

What Tutor does not do

Tutor is a language model explaining things, so it can be confidently wrong — particularly at the edges of a technical subject, where errors are hardest for a learner to detect. Verify anything load-bearing against a real source. There is no curriculum, credential or structured course, and no human oversight. It works best on established material with a lot written about it, and least well on anything recent or contested.
