What Email does
Email works from a purpose and a tone rather than a template: what the message needs to achieve, and how it should land. Drafts are editable inline and regenerable when the first attempt is not right, which is often, because the gap between polite and obsequious is narrow and easier to recognise than to specify. It is deliberately ad-hoc and contact-free — no address book to populate before you can write one message.
