Cover

Jalaran Cover writes a cover letter for a specific role from your background — one that argues why you and this job, rather than restating your CV in paragraphs.

Who Cover is for

For candidates who write a strong CV and then stall on the letter, and for anyone applying to enough roles that writing each one from scratch is the actual reason applications do not get sent. The letter is rarely the hard part intellectually; it is the part that costs forty minutes you have already spent.

What Cover does

Give Cover the role and your relevant background and it drafts a focused letter connecting the two, rather than committing the common failure of narrating your CV in prose — which recruiters have already read, in a better format, attached to the same email. The draft argues why this background suits this position, which is the only question a cover letter exists to answer. Every draft is editable and should be edited: a letter that reads as generated actively harms an application that a shorter honest one would have helped. Export is DOCX so the final pass happens wherever you normally write.

  • Role-specific letters rather than templated ones
  • Draws on the background you supply
  • Fully editable drafts
  • DOCX export

How Cover works

  1. Give it the role

The job description or the essentials of it, so the letter argues for this position rather than in general.

  2. Give it your background

The relevant part of your history — the specifics are what stop the letter reading as generic.

  3. Edit the draft

Cut whatever does not sound like you. This step is not optional if you want the letter to work.

  4. Export as DOCX

Ready to attach, and editable anywhere afterwards.

What Cover does not do

Cover produces a first draft that needs your editing — an unedited generated letter reads exactly like one, and recruiters have become very good at spotting them. It does not research the company for you; that is Intel, and a letter written after reading a real brief is a different letter. It will not send anything, and it has no templates library, because a template is the thing it exists to replace.

Common questions

Will a recruiter be able to tell it was AI-written?

If you send it unedited, probably. The draft exists to get you past the blank page; the editing pass is where it becomes yours, and skipping that step defeats the purpose.

Does it research the company?

No. Intel builds the company brief, and a cover letter written after reading one is materially better than one written from the job posting alone.

What format does it export?

DOCX, so you can make final edits in any word processor before attaching it.
