Interview
Jalaran Interview builds a behavioural question bank for a target company and role, then scores your answers against the STAR structure and shows you a model response.
Who Interview is for
For candidates who can explain their technical work fluently and turn vague the moment someone says "tell me about a time when". Behavioural answers have a structure, and the structure is learnable by practice.
What Interview does
Interview generates a question bank for the company and role you are targeting, then scores each answer you give against STAR — situation, task, action, result — and tells you which part was missing. Nearly everyone under-develops Action and forgets Result entirely, and seeing that named repeatedly is what changes the habit. A model answer is shown alongside yours so you can compare structure rather than guess what better looks like.
- Company- and role-specific question bank
- Answers scored per STAR component
- Model answers for structural comparison
- Repeatable practice across the bank
How Interview works
Set the target
Company and role. The question bank is generated for that specific context.
Answer as you would out loud
Write it the way you would say it. Polishing it into an essay defeats the exercise.
Read the STAR breakdown
Scored per component, so you learn that your answers keep stopping before the Result rather than that they are "a bit weak".
Compare with the model answer
Structure, not wording. The point is seeing what a complete answer contains.
What Interview does not do
Interview scores written answers, not spoken ones — it cannot hear you ramble, hesitate or run four minutes long, and length discipline is a real part of the skill it does not train. The question bank is generated for a company and role rather than drawn from that employer’s actual questions. It covers behavioural interviews; technical and case practice is Case.
Common questions
Does it use my target company’s real interview questions?
No. It generates a realistic bank for that company and role. It has no access to any employer’s actual question set, and a tool claiming otherwise would be misleading you.
Why score against STAR specifically?
Because it is the structure most interviewers assess against, and because it names the failure precisely. Most people under-develop Action and omit Result, and being told that repeatedly is what changes it.
Can I practise speaking rather than typing?
Not here — answers are written and scored as text. Length and delivery discipline are real parts of the skill this does not train.
